The Rev. P.A. Hubartt, age 81, a retired Evangelical United Brethren minister, died at 10 p.m. Monday of cancer in the Otterbein Home hospital a Lebanon, O.
After his retirement in 1950, following services in various EUB church in DeKalb county, Rev. Hubartt and his wife resided in Waterloo for five years. In 1955, they left Waterloo to make their home at the Otterbein home. Mrs. Hubartt died in 1959 at the home in Lebanon.
Rev. Hubartt succumbed following an illness of 10 months.
The body was removed to the Johnson funeral home at Lebanon and will remain until it is taken aat 11 a.m. Thursday to the Otterbein Home church. The body will be in state at the church until funeral services are conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The Rev. B.H. Cain of Warsaw will officiate at the services with burial in the Otterbein Home cemetery.
Rev. Hubartt was wifely known in the Butler and Newville communities. He was minister at the Mt. Pleasant EUB church and was minister of the Butler EUB circuit that included the EUB churches at Big Run and Zion. Rev. Hubartt also served as pastor at the Newville EUB church.

Rev Hubartt was a native of Warren, Ind. He was born Dec. 24, 1879, son of the late William and Melissa Hubartt. In a ceremony performed in 1901 at Huntington, he married Ona Stuver.
Surviving are two sons, Glen Hubartt, Sr., of Waterloo and Lester Hubartt of Goshen; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Funk of Fort Wayne; one brother, Orval Hubartt, Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Rev. Hubartt was a member of the Otterbein Home church.
