RUSSELL E DAVIS, 82, CR 9A Garrett died at 10:30 am Saturday at his home.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm today at McKee-Miles Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday. Rev Evan Farmer minister of the Altar Star United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Chapel Cemetery.

Mr Davis was born June 22, 1903 in Tipton County to Fred H and Edith Russell Davis.

He and Nina Pritchard were married Nov 19, 1924 in Fort Wayne. She survives.

Mr Davis was a welder for Wayne Pump in Fort Wayne for 43 years before retiring in 1968.

Survivors besides the wife include two daughters Mrs Donald (Jean) Rhodes of Avilla and Mrs Lowell (Judy) Smeltzer of Moncks Corner SC; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

One son Jack Davis preceded him in death.
