Earl O. Simpson, 67, 1060 N. Main St., Lot 19, died at 5:25 p.m. Monday in Union County Memorial Hospital, Marysville.
He was born May 13, 1917, in Ohio to George Oliver and Lula Mae Baker Simpson. His wife, Nancy Newport Simpson, survives.
The Army veteran served in World War II and the Korean conflict. Before retiring, he was a taxi driver, having worked for Safety Cab and Red Cab companies.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald A. Simpson, Mount Gilead; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley M. Tolley, Marion, Mrs. Kitty Farris, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Miss Lisa Simpson, Mount Gilead; two brothers, Lloyd Simpson, Marion, and Bill Simpson, whose address was unavailable; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Christian and Mrs. Pearl Coykendall, both Marion; and seven grandchildren.
Three sisters and two brothers are deceased.
The service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Denzer-Farison-Hottinger Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Miller. Burial will be in Meeker Cemetery
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
