The Hyphen Family Lineage

Elijah Sink is something of a mystery, as I have not been able to locate a marriage date or record for him (to Elizabeth Beaber). Additionally, the only reference I initially had connecting him to Elizabeth was in the notes from Jane Anne Thomas. I did manage to find the 1860 US Census listing for his household (consisting of Elijah, Elizabeth, and their three children). I have not yet located a census listing for their household for 1870, but by 1880 Elizabeth was listed as the widowed mother-in-law in daughter Alice's husband's household, indicating that Elijah had died sometime between 1860 and 1880.

The only local interment I can find for an Elijah Sink is in Hoverstock Cemetery (Zanesville, Wells Cty, Indiana), where son Genoa Sink is buried. The rest of the family - sisters Mary and Florence, and mother Elizabeth - are all buried in Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Allen Cty, Indiana. Additionally, the dates listed on FindaGrave.com for that particular Elijah Sink don't match (though there's no photo of the grave to confirm) what would be necessary for that burial to be the right Elijah Sink. There are a number of other burials with the Sink surname there, so it's possible this Elijah is a relative but not the one married to Elizabeth Beaber.

ADDENDUM: Thanks mostly to the research by Jim Flack, I have significantly more information for Elijah. In reference to the interment in Hoverstock Cemetery, I believe the dates on the FindaGrave.com listing are likely incorrect, but the supplemental information on that listing gives his age at death as 26 years, 8 months, 7 days. From the information gathered by Jim, we have a birthdate of 30 Mar 1834, and a death date of 8 Dec 1860, which would be the age listed on the listing for the interment.
