ERVIN D. "BOOB" CASTLEMAN, 84, died Tuesday at Parkview Hospital
in Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County and formerly of Monroeville, he retired in 1977 from farming. He also retired in 1975 as a bus driver with East Allen County Schools after 21 years. Surviving are his wife, Eileen M.; seven sons, James L., Edwin J., Joseph E., Kenneth A. and Ronald L., all of Monroeville, David A. of Indianapolis and John J. of Bluffton; a daughter, Carol A. Lubomirski of Fort Wayne; a brother, Walter J. of Monroeville; two sisters, Theresa Stasell and Helen Wannemacher, both of Payne, Ohio; 30 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. A daughter, MaryAnn Castleman, died in 1939. Prayer service at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, rural New Haven. Calling from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rosary service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in church cemetery. Memorials to the church for Masses or the church restoration fund.
