Funeral services were held for Alfred C. Thomas, 47, of Zulu, Indiana, who died in Parkview Memorial Hospital of injuries received six days earlier in a propane gas explosion in a home at 3734 McKinnie Ave., Ft. Wayne, Ind. Thomas was an employee of the Maumee Propane Gas Co. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church at Besancon.

Survivors include the wife, Celeste; three sons, Robert, Donald and Jerry, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Sharon Lopshire, Monroeville, and Carol, Susan, Kathy and Rita, all at home; seven brothers, Vern and William, Columbia City, Edward, Earl, Robert, James and Lester, all of Fort Wayne; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Moore, Ferndale, Mich., Mrs. Mable Roberts, Sullivan, Ohio, Mrs. Alice Emberlin, Los Angeles, Mrs. Dorothy Howell, New Haven, and Mrs Katherine Parker, Fort Wayne; and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Thomas, Fort Wayne.

Rev. Fred Cardinali conducted services at the Marquart Funeral Home in Monroeville and at the St. Louis Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
