Marie (Thill) Weible, 79, of 405 Park Drive, a former elementary school teacher, died of natural causes Tuesday at her home.

A vigil service is 6:30 p.m. Friday at O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Cathedral, with burial in Conrad Cemetery at 5 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Gift of Life or Montana Peace Hospice.

She was born May 31, 1918, in Conrad, and received a degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado. She taught elementary school in Santa Fe, N.M., before moving to Great Falls, where she taught at Longfellow and Franklin elementary schools.

In 1947 she married Victor "Vic" Weible in Great Falls.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ladies Circle, the Parent-Teacher Association, Montana Education Association, Great Falls Homemakers and the Elks and Civitan Club. She was also involved with the Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Figure Skating Club, Bluebirds and Camp Fire Girls.

She enjoyed flowers, cooking, knitting and traveling. She also loved playing bridge and belonged to numerous bridge clubs.

Survivors include her husband of Great Falls; three daughters, Vikki Payne of Billings, Paula Schmalz of Fargo, N.D., and JoAnne Stoddard of Paso Robles, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
