Robert Eugene Nyvall was born July 29, 1924 in Longville, Minnesota. Bob made his way to Wenatchee and Yakima as a teenager looking for work. There he met and married Dorothy French. They had three children; Barry, Mark and Nancy. They moved to Longview where Bob got a job with Weyerhaeuser. He retired in 1986. They divorced and Bob remarried to Etha, his wife of 43 years. Bob helped raise her four children; Butch, Larry, Lori and Lorraine.
Bob was a member of the Eagles, Elks, Moose and a courtesy member of the American Legion. He also coached baseball for many years in the 60s and 70s. He and Etha travelled all over the US, making lifelong friends along the way.
Bob passed away June 21, 2015 on Father’s Day. He is remembered as an avid hunter and excellent fisherman.
