Floyd H. Kagy, 84, of CR 60, Fostoria, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Kagy was born Dec. 12, 1915, to Stephen and Mary E. (DeVore) Kagy. He married Clara E. Baker April 6, 1947, in Belmore, and she survives along with the following: a son, Floyd H. Kagy Jr. of Wisconsin; a daughter, Alyce Guernsey of Fostoria; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Serge Kagy of Bluffton.
A daughter, Mary Stewart; a grandson, Jamie Bennett; four brothers, John, Ray, Lawrence and Leonard Kagy; five sisters, Iva Bryan, Imo Varner, Dorotha Schweitzer, Nina Harmon and Florence Briggs are deceased.
He was a 1933 graduate of Crawfis College High School, Gillboa; a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II; retired from Columbia Gas Company, Fostoria, in 1983, after 25 years of employment; and a member of the Union United Church of Christ, Bascom.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. James Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
