Narrative

Pictured left is Henry Stuver; the young man on the right is unknown, as the back of the photo had no labels or annotations when I found it in the files of Jane Anne Thomas. He does appear to be about the same age as Henry, and the boys appear to be in the early-to-mid teens. It may be a friend of Henry's, or it may be one of his cousins (John King or Melvin Kiger). It may also be one of his brothers - Henry was one of seven children, and the only son to survive to adulthood. There is a distinct possibility that one of his brothers (William or Walter) may have survived long enough to appear in the picture, but this is unconfirmed. (Very little information, including birth and death dates, have been found for the four siblings whose deaths preceded their parents.)
